Go to the Map and tap the location arrow. Once Youmory has worked out which city you’re in, the button at the bottom shows its name. Tap it and the city is in your collection, dated today.

No. The app only checks where you are when you ask it to, and only to find out which city that is. It doesn’t follow you around in the background.

You can search for the right place on the map and check in from there. If the app can’t find you at all, make sure Youmory is allowed to use your location (you’ll find that in your phone’s settings) and that you have a connection.

You can still check in, and it goes on your map with the date. We’ve drawn almost two thousand places so far and we’re adding more. If there’s one you’d really like to see, let us know.

Yes. Search for the place on the map, check in, and then change the dates under Your visits on the place’s page. If you have a lot of trips to add, try Add your past trips on Home. It looks at when and where your photos were taken and suggests trips, and you decide which ones to keep. The photos themselves stay on your phone.

Open the place from your collection and tap Edit visit dates under Your visits. If you’ve been there more than once, Add visit lets you add the other trips too.

Open any postcard in your collection and tap Send. Write something on the back, choose a stamp if you like, and pick who it goes to. You can send a card from any place you’ve checked in to.

On the Postcards tab, open Friends and tap Invite a friend. Send them the link. As soon as they accept, you can send each other postcards.

Yes, with Share a link. Anyone who opens the link can see the front of the card. To read what you wrote on the back, they need the app, and whoever opens it there first gets to keep the card. If nobody has opened it yet, you can still take it back.

Yes, you’ll find both in Settings. Your friends see your cards in the handwriting you chose. The stamp you pick in Settings goes on every new card, but you can swap it for a different one before you send.

Open their page from your Friends list and tap ••• in the top corner. If you remove someone, the postcards you sent each other disappear for both of you. Blocking them also means they can’t use your invite link any more (you can unblock them later in Settings). Reporting someone opens an email to us.

Yes, under Settings › Notifications. You can turn each kind on or off separately: new postcards, when a friend opens one of yours, reminders to send a card, and replies to friend requests. We don’t send ads.

You don’t need Pro to collect and send postcards. With Pro you get every card a place has instead of only the cover, you can save any artwork you’ve collected to your photos, and all the pen cases and stamps are unlocked.

You get everything straight away and don’t pay anything until the trial is over. We’ll remind you the day before it ends, so you still have time to cancel.

In the app, go to Settings › Subscription › Manage subscription. You can also cancel in your App Store or Google Play account. Just deleting the app won’t cancel it. After you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

Sign in with the account you used before, open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchase. This only works if the phone uses the same Apple ID or Google account you paid with.

The postcard artwork is generated with AI.

You can start without one. If you sign in with Apple or Google, your collection is saved and you can pick it up again on another phone. You can do that whenever you like under Settings › Profile.

Go to Settings › Profile › Delete my account. Your account is deleted right away, and it can’t be undone. If you no longer have the app, you can also ask us by email.

We don’t sell personal data and there are no ads in Youmory. The privacy policy lists what we store and why.
